The Commerce students of SFS PU College celebrated the inaugural ceremony of the COM-LIT forum and Ethnic Day on July 17, 2025. The program was graced by Rev. Fr. Vinod Kanattu, Manager and Administrator, and Rev. Fr. Joseph Thoppil, Principal.
The ceremony began with the invocation song and the COM-LIT anthem, which symbolized the physical and mental development of the students. The program was inaugurated by lighting the lamp, and Mrs. Varsha, HOD of Commerce, welcomed the gathering.
The newly elected leaders of the COM-LIT forum were felicitated with sashes, badges, bouquets, and gifts. The leaders include Master Kumar (President), Ms. Shiny Floret (Vice President), Ms. Boomika (Secretary), Master Kumar Gowda (Treasurer), and others. Teacher coordinators Master Arun Joseph Branco, Ms. Farahalam, and Ms. Swetha Raj were also appointed.
Fr. Vinod Kanattu delivered a keynote address, emphasizing the duties and responsibilities of the leaders. Fr. Joseph Thoppil's speech had a great impact on the students, and the winners of the quiz competition were awarded conducted by the SDUMC Tamaka, Kolar.
The Ethnic Day celebrations included Rampwalk and Catwalk, where students enthusiastically participated. Mrs. Varsha TN, Ms. Stella and Mr. Ravi Kumar judged the events, and the winners were awarded with sashes and gifts. The program concluded with the national anthem, and the students had a great time enjoying the event.
The COM-LIT forum aims to provide a platform for commerce students to develop their skills and knowledge, and the inaugural ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter for the students.
