College Excursion to Mysore

St. Francis De Sales College in Kolar organized a 2-day excursion to Mysore for its students, which took place on November 30 and December 1, 2024. A group of 45 students, accompanied by four Commerce faculty members, embarked on this trip to explore the city's cultural and historical landmarks. The itinerary included visits to various attractions such as the Mysore Zoo, Mysore Palace, and KRS Dam. The students and faculty members also had the opportunity to witness a musical fountain and visit notable spots like Chamundi Hills, GRS, and St. Philomina Church.

The group stayed at a nearby lodge, where they had dinner together, fostering a sense of camaraderie and bonding among the students and faculty members. The excursion provided a unique opportunity for the students to interact with their peers and teachers in an informal setting, creating lasting memories. After a fun-filled trip, the group departed from Mysore at 9:30 pm on December 1 and returned to the college campus on the morning of December 2, 2024. The trip was deemed a success, with everyone returning safely to the college. The students and faculty members had a wonderful time exploring the city's rich cultural heritage and historical significance, making the excursion a memorable experience for all. Overall, the trip achieved its objective of promoting bonding and teamwork among the students and faculty members while providing a unique learning experience beyond the classroom.
