SFS College Tamaka, Kolar, marked a significant milestone with the inauguration of its National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit on November 4, 2025. The ceremony underscored the institution's commitment to fostering discipline, leadership, and national service among students.
Chief Guest Col. Aravind Misha and Col. Zakir Hussain the and 10 KAR Battalion NCC Team graced the occasion. The event began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by Col. Mishra hosting the National flag. In his keynote address, he highlighted the importance of joining and working with the army.
Rev. Father Joseph Thoppil MSFS hosted the NCC flag and expressed pride in starting the NCC unit, emphasizing its role in shaping youth and instilling values of discipline and national service. Rev. Father Vinod Kanattu, Administrator and Manager of SFS College, spoke about the importance of discipline in life.
The ceremony was attended by the college Principal, ANO of Mrs. Gayathri Uday, CTO Joseph VJ, NCC cadets, faculty members, and students.
Winners of taluk, district, and state-level sports competitions were felicitated with prizes and certificates.
The NCC unit aims to provide students with opportunities to develop leadership skills, discipline, and a sense of national responsibility.
