The state-level weightlifting championship was held at St. Francis De Sales (SFS) Pre-University College, Tamaka, Kolar on 25th November 2025. The event was jointly organized by the Pre-University Education Department, Kolar District, and SFS PU College.

The championship was inaugurated by Mrs. R. Geeta, Assistant Director, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports. Rev. Father Joseph Thoppil, Principal of SFS PU College, presided over the function. Dignitaries present included Shri Subramanyam H., Deputy Director, Pre-University Education Department, Kolar District; Mr. B. N. Muruli, President of the PU College Principal Association, Kolar District; Mr. T. K. Nataraj, President of the Lecturers' Association, Kolar District; and Mr. Srikanth K.N., District Sports Officer, Kolar. The success of the event was ensured through the active participation of SFS College lecturers, administrative staff, and NCC cadets. Students from various districts of Karnataka participated in the competition.

The winners of the state-level weightlifting championship were:
- First Place (Men's and Women's): Dakshina Kannada District
- Runners-up (Men's): Belagavi District
- Runners-up (Women's): Bengaluru South District

The winners have qualified for the upcoming national-level sports meet. The event concluded with the distribution of prizes to the medalists, marking a successful sports event at SFS College, Kolar.
