A workshop on Swayam, a certificate course offered by the Ministry of Education, was held at the college multimedia room from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on April 24, 2024. The program was presided over by Principal Fr. Joseph Thoppil and conducted by Resource Person Mr. Arun Johnson Branco from the Department of Economics.

A total of 102 participants, comprising students from PU and degree courses, as well as staff members, attended the event. Principal Fr. Joseph Thoppil emphasized the significance of digitalization and AI in transforming human life, highlighting both the benefits and drawbacks of using electronic gadgets like mobile phones and the importance of responsible usage.

Mr. Arun presented several PowerPoint presentations to elucidate various aspects of Swayam, including its features, principles, and uses. He also demonstrated the registration process, making it clear and accessible to the students. The participants expressed their appreciation for the program, with students like Ms. Noor Fathima, Ms. Aiman Ameer, and Mr. Badrinath thanking the organizers for raising awareness about Swayam.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks and the distribution of certificates to all participants by the Principal. The workshop was deemed a success, and the efforts of Mr. Arun, the Principal, and the organizers were applauded for inspiring others to explore Swayam's resources and enhance their skills.
