SFS PU College, Tamaka, Kolar Celebrated Its Annual Freshers' Day On 18th July 2026, Welcoming 1st PUC Students Under The Theme "New Dawn."

The event was presided over by Rev. Fr. Benny (Councilor In-charge of Education, South-West India Province MSFS), alongside Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. Joseph Thoppil and Administrator Rev. Fr. Jibin. Chief Guest Mr. Yashwant, an alumnus and Dance Karnataka Dance finalist, enthralled the audience with a dance performance and urged students to pursue their dreams with dedication.Key highlights included the felicitation of top-ranking JEE and CET achievers and the distribution of NCC training certificates. Senior students shared academic mentorship, while Rev. Fr. Benny emphasized resilience. Principal Rev. Fr. Dr. Joseph Thoppil beautifully used a butterfly metaphor to inspire the freshers, explaining that overcoming challenges builds the strength needed to fly. Dynamic cultural dances by 2nd PUC students added to the celebratory atmosphere.

Compered by Mr. Biphul Joshi and Ms. Shamitha, the program commenced with a welcome address by Arfa Fathima and concluded with a vote of thanks by Shiny Floret.

The memorable event successfully fostered camaraderie, setting a vibrant foundation for the newcomers' college journey.
