St. Francis de Sales College, Tamaka, Kolar, celebrated the graduation ceremony of its B.Com and BCA students on Saturday, 23 May 2026, on the college campus. The event marked the achievements, hard work, and dedication of the outgoing students as they prepared to embark on a new journey of success and purpose.
The ceremony was held in the presence of honored guests and faculty members. Fr. Vinod Kannatu, Manager of the institution, was the Chief Guest for the occasion. Rev. Fr. Joseph Thoppil, Principal, and Rev. Fr. Jibin, Administrator, graced the event along with the teaching staff, parents, and well-wishers.
The program commenced with a solemn prayer dance followed by the lighting of the lamp.
In his welcome address, Fr. Joseph Thoppil congratulated the graduates of the B.Com and BCA departments and commended their academic efforts and holistic development during their three years at the college. He added that, as the first batch of these programs at SFS College, Tamaka, the students had created history.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Fr. Vinod Kannatu lauded the students for their perseverance and urged them to uphold the college motto of Excellence, Transformation, and Efficiency in their future endeavors. He emphasized the role of value-based education and encouraged graduates to contribute meaningfully to society.
Fr. Jibin, Administrator, spoke to the students about the importance of hard work, commitment, and dedication in the pursuit of success. He also shared insights on embracing challenges and moving forward with resilience.
The graduating students of B.Com and BCA were felicitated with certificates and medals.
Representing the graduating class, Ms. Umme Muzakira from 3rd year B.Com and Ms. Dhanushree from 3rd Year BCA shared their memories and reflections. Their heartfelt and emotional speeches moved the audience.
The program was enriched with vibrant cultural performances, including dance, songs, and a fashion ramp walk that added color and energy to the celebration.
The ceremony was compered by Ms. Chandana R and Ms. Sandhya, with the welcome address delivered by Afsha Khan. It concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ayesha Samar.
The event served as a memorable milestone inspiring them to pursue their goals with confidence and integrity. Parents and faculty expressed immense pride in the accomplishments of the graduates.
