SFS College in Tamaka, Kolar, on June 5, 2025 organized a crucial cyber awareness program in its multimedia hall. The event aimed to educate students about the growing concerns of cybercrime and drug abuse, and featured two esteemed guests from the Kolar District Police Department.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Mr. Rajesh R delivered an informative session on cybercrime, shedding light on how it's committed, ways to avoid it, and the importance of being vigilant online. He also discussed the dangers of drug abuse, including its symptoms, effects, prevention, and the consequences of involvement.

Additional Superintendent of Police Mr. Jagadish H C emphasized the significance of education, goal-setting, physical and mental well-being, and career development. He encouraged students to work hard and make informed decisions about their future.

Principal Fr. Joseph Thoppil played a pivotal role in organizing the program, which saw enthusiastic participation from teaching and administrative staff, as well as students. Mr. Maruthi C, a lecturer from the Kannada department, welcomed the guests and proposed a vote of thanks.
